partner wants to go other side of the world ...

Hi there,

In september we're going normaly a month to south america.
But I would rather fly in the other direction, towards India.

It is however her turn to choose the destanation and I'm interested in S.A. aswel ... but I want to have more of India.

Sounds familiar?

The more I know I won't be going to India, the more i idealize ( SP?) the subcontinent and tent to forget the less comfy things about india ...

So, have some good arguments to fly east in stead of west?

Being in India is very cheap--some countries in SA are expensive.

Where have you been in India already? Try going to a state or region you've never visited. There are worlds of difference among, say, Rajasthan, Kerala, and Meghalaya.

be a good guy and give her her choice this time as it will no doubt pay off in the long run and south america is very interesting as well, though I've only been to the west side myself.

I don't think September is really ideal for anywhere in India anyway . You can always hang out with us until your turn comes around.

cheers!

September in The mountians is fanstastic ...Apples anyone and for the more ambitious ...some rubbing ...!!!
Also as the monsoon has cleared much of the stale dusty pollution from the skies the haze has kind of been removed and the mountain views are more spectacular than ever
Nepal is particulalry nice this time of year
Utter ranchal is superb and Himachal is as always divine!

Nice time of the year ...Mid September onwards to be in the mountains ..Also Rajistahn was to my shock green!!!!
The area around Pushkar after the monsoon is green ...freaked me out for a while having only ever saw it in the winter

Hope this helps you some

some good strategic advice, m2!! reciprocity principle governs all human relations

if you end up going to S America, then where? i've heard travellers who have been to both places saying Peru was the "India" of S America.
