OT: Rising Suppression of the Freedom of Speech!
Hi. While I was replying to Seraph, the thread was closed, but I would REALLY like to reply, so here it is Seraph:
Dear Seraph,
while we're painting with such broad brushstrokes, i note with interest that I am now a conspiracy theorist, a liberal fantasist... oh, and you threw "conspiratorial mania" in there as well. Now, i may be all these things, but at the very least heal thyself! Further, it's nice to give your own definition for a 'reactionary', so can I give my own? You were 'reacting' to what I perceived that YOU preceived to be anti-semitism.
I also apologise if by commenting and replying to you, you view this as a labelling, ad hominem attack. Again, perhaps it is true, but I thought I was allowed to reply....
It insults you to think that zionists control the US government. Why don't we look at the people who I would suggest are in control rather than Bush - Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz et al: they all have Jewish blood. Please tell me if this is otherwise, I won't have a problem with that. It isn't anti-anyone by saying that, but the fact that they pursue a zionist agenda is indisputable. If you don't like 'liberal conspiracy theories', then I would politely suggest that you don't like having your safe view of the world challenged. You mentioned that compartmentalised government organisations could not be co-ordinated towards any malignant scheme, but really, that be the BEST way, to keep the left hand from knowing what the right is doing. Do you disagree?
Re Wish-fulfillment: I don't want to get rid of anyone, I was stating a piece of logic, and I'm sorry if you missed that. Naturally, a student of Goebbels would be inclined towards paranoia!
What I said about assymetric warfare was not a canard. It is something that the US military fear most, because, as is being shown in Iraq right now, it is so very difficult to combat. And yes, I do sympathise. No need for apostrophes, I freely admit it!

I do not suggest that I think the Palestinians or anyone else have no other course of action available, I said that I understand why people would feel this way. Read what I write before you criticise me for something I do not think. I do not believe in violence in any form as a means of solving a dispute.
I hope that clears everything up
POSTSCRIPT: this was not a racist thread, and I find it very poor form to request a thread be closed because someone cannot manage to think of a reply. This is the 'general discussion' forum, maybe there should be a 'chicken' forum for people who don't like debate.

Actually, no I don't, although that's a nicely weighted question!

Hah, yes, keep saying it and maybe it'll come true. Believe it or not I have heard of Gandhi and King, perhaps you can keep the platitudes out of any future response

Well, can I have my brush back? Because you've just stated that I said all Americans are implicated because of a minority. I did not say that.

I would certainly say that WWII was engineered by a few people, but I have never accused "the jews" of anything, only zionists, who can be any religion, any race, but must be right-wing.I hope that clears everything up

I closed the thread and should have from the beginning and it has nothing to do with me being an American. If the same thread about Israelis in India I would have closed it also, or any other topic that is hurtful to a group of people. If you don't like that we stop threads that become to heated than there's the door. I don't care. All it does is invite people to join the site to join into an argument.
This site is about India and travel to India. That is all. I don't know why people start threads or join threads that they know will just cause an argument.
We stop these threads because they are called "belly acher" threads plain and simple. People post something up and then someone replies and they come belly aching to me about what the other person said.
My pm's and email fills up everytime these kind of these heated discussions come up. I don't have the time or patience to deal with it and frankly don't want to.
So there you go...there is my reason. Feel free to call me a bully or against freedom of speech. At the end of the day I get the 'belly achers' all crying to me about it.
Mike
