One Week to Go!

We leave for India one week from Thursday...oh my! Excitement has given way to nerves and anxiety...big time...knots in my belly...even after all the research I've done and wanting to do this for years, I still don't know what to expect...I know this is a common feeling for first timers and I know this is a common thread...but I need reassurance!

Adventure awaits....

Try to cslm the nerves before you fly. Best to get as much rest on the plane as you can

A good friend and old India hand assured me. "India is 10 times worse and 10 times better than anything you will ever experience here in the states." So you are just feeling a bit of butterflies before going on stage to a big adventure. As desi kids say, "chill out". You will be fine

Just keep in mind, that if one billion Indians can handle India on a daily basis. You should also be just fine.

Have no preconceived notions. Take each day as it comes, that's what billions of us have been doing for thousands of years. Jashaan manoa-meaning celebrate!

Im in India right now and have adjusted pretty well,it does have its up and downs.my advice is the excitement and butterflies are nothing compared to what you going to feel when step off the plane do your best not to let those feeling overwhelm you and try to be in the moment of what your doing and get to motel and then you can freakout or whatever.because before i left i read indiamike everyday and read every book i could get my hands on and i thought i was pretty prepared and as soon as i got off the plane i forgot everything and made a couple mistakes which brought me back to reality.dont worry have fun and everything will work out.
