Question new traveler

I am traveling to India, for 3 weeks in June, i realize it is the hottest time of year, what would be the most important piece of advice for someone who has never traveled out of Texas.

hi bluebonnet, well depending on where y'all are from in Texas, the climate may just be about the same. Where in India are you going? You didnt mention it.
My first trip out of the US and my home, San Fransisco, I went to India for 3 1/2 months. So it was a lot for me. My best advice...have a good attitude and expect the unexpected. India is a trip... but I was so happy to be there and see all I did that the hardships for me rolled off my back for the most part.

I would do it all again in a hearbeat! Me and India

I hope this helps! Read up and learn as much as you can.

Best,
BlueRose

yes, I now see where you are from... pretty hot and humid down among the gulf isnt it?

Thumbs up

Well Bluebonnet - depends on which part of the country u're traveling to. If u plan to go to either Kerala or Goa, then they will be quite hot (but then, they are quite warm throughout the year, coastal weather u see). But if u plan on traveling to hill stations in the north, like Shimla, Darjeeling or to the himalayas then u'd probably have much milder weather mainly due to the altitude and partly because they're further away from the equator than other parts of the country.

I'm Indian, but lived in the US fr abt 3 years, and never been to Texas, but been as far south as NC state and miami and Key west. If what i heard is true, parts of texas are almost as hot as miami. if u're from those parts, u won't have any probs, most of india doesn't get any more hotter. But u do have to remember that sometimes it can be humid though. Hope this helps.

Rooms with AC are easily had and cheap in most towns of any size
