True! Read it and wept. Not really, but DID wonder WTF Mark Chapman was on when he blew away Lennon. And what the hell that book exactly had to do with any of it.

Just started Steinbeck's "The Grapes of Wrath" today after finishing Austen's Pride and Prejudice between leaving Dubai last Sat and watching a pretty spectacular sunset on the roof of the Jagat Niwas Palace hotel in Udaipur tonight. What a read, adn what a scene. Both made my heart leap.

The next person who replies is covered in mossie bites and they're itching so much you've scratched them till they're bleeding...

Actually I have three kids - and two of them are train nuts - so train trips are inevitable (like being assimilated by the borg)

The next person knows where that last line came from, who the borg are, and is a closet fan!

True - since the late fifties when I was given a complete set of H.G. Wells stories and then spent all my money on the weekly sci-fi fantasy mags. First sci-fi film I saw was the Forbidden Planet- still like it!

The newxt person likes the Alien films.

No, can't say that I do. I always thought that they were extremely overrated. The second film has one of the worst bits of dialogue of any movie ever (I guess I should cut her some slack because she was only a child actor):

"They mostly come out at night... mostly"

The next person has seen the British movie called The Ruling Class
