Federica, thank you so much. She is such a changed child in these four weeks. She has five adults around her (my nephew, my parents and us) and he knwos she can twist everyone around her fingers and that is what she exactly does.

Time to gently show her who is boss then!
In all my friendships with small people, I have found that yes-means-yes-but-no-means-no ultimately makes them happier, although there may be tears on the way. There was one pair (about 3 and 5 I think) who I used to be quite strict with, and was astonished to learn from their mum that I was their favourite child sitter! Of course, there were stories and games, but I thought there might have been a bit too much "your mum might let you do that, but I don't". It was fun... that particularly mum left me in charge of her two and eleven of their friends, one Saturday afternoon while the mums went out. That probably wouldn't be legal in UK now. Anyway, yes, I used to love being surrounded by kids, but these days I stick to cats ![]() |

Nick, I agree with you. We do try to draw some boundaries because we know it for her safety but for a lot of things, like, one day she held my husbands hand and made him sit on one side and then pulled my dad from his chari and made him sit next to us and then tried to snuggle in herself and when found that impossible, pulled my hand and took me to the chair, we let her do all this gladly.

I try to tell my wife who is boss, but she entirely disagrees
... that cats should be allowed to run a household! . |
