Need volunteers to fill out questionnaire on Language and Culture
Hi all. I'm doing an assignment on Language and Culture for my degree studies in Linguistics. I need one or two volunteers to answer a questionnaire about their native language and culture. The volunteers must come from a non-english speaking cultural background. The topic of my assignment is How a Language Reflects the Cultural Values of its Speakers.
I live in a small town in New Zealand and don't know anyone here from another country that is able to do this with me, so I thought I'd see if anyone on IM was willing to help me. I have to have the questionnaires back over the next couple of days, as I have to sort through the answers and have the rest of my assignment typed up and ready to send to my tutor by Friday this week. I'm getting a little stressed about getting this done in time, so if anyone is able and willing to do this in the next 24 - 48 hours for me, I'd love to hear from you. Please PM me with your email address if you're interested and I'll email you a copy of the questionnaire. Many thanks A slightly frazzled BabeInTheWoods

Okay - I now have 3 volunteers for this, so I'm a very happy girl. Thanks guys. You're efforts are most appreciated.
I have to do this again in a few days time. This time about Second Language Learning. I'll need a few volunteers for that too, if anyone's interested in doing it. It'll contain questions regarding the strategies you used to learn a second language. This time it won't matter whether you're from an English-speaking background or other. Volunteers are welcome to PM me with their email addresses and when that questionnaire is ready I'll send it to you. I'd love to hear from you if you're interested. Thanks again Babe |

It's ok capt - you passed with flying colours!!! I did PM you to say so. So just calm down now - wallow in the knowledge that you're an A student.
