| I am going up in that area during monsoon season too. There is a rough rainfall chart in the "Rough guide" book of India. It says that during June to August in HP there is a lot of rain. Most of it during July where rainfall can be 400 mm in a month. Dont know about cheap accomodation. Just get a travel book and read up on the information. Try "Lonely Planet" or "Rough guide" |

| Mega | Dharamshala gets the second highest amount of rainfall in monsoon in the whole of India ...The number one spot is held by the wettest place in the world You can basicallt live in the clouds for weeks in the monsoonin the hills in Dharamsala usually begins end of June but has been known to start much later or earlier In HP everything becomes damp ...try and avoid the concrete rooms as these become unbeleivably damp ...though everywhere is just as damp Roads can be troublesome ..>See other posts ...use search engine on site However ti is a trully magical time and it changes the landscape noticably Hope this doesn't put you off Bryan
