Monsoon

I knw that when I was last in India (2000-2001) It was in the middle of a crippling drought. I plan on going again next year and would like to know if the Monsoon has come in the preceding years?

Does anyone know if India has received any decent Rainfall this year, notably Rhajastan?

According to the Indian Meteoroligical Office, West Rajasthan received about 25% above average monsoon rainfall this year and East Rajasthan slightly below average.

Over most of India the monsoon was up to expectations this year.

Yes. Karnataka seemed to miss out on a generally good monsoon.

They brought in some artificual rain in north karnataka this year.
