monsoon season

My partner and I are planning to be in south India during the start of the summer monsoon season. Can anyone describe what it's like that time of year? What areas are the best to be in? Is the heat out of control? We're planning to spend the bulk of our time in Kerala. What's the word?

If by "summer monsoon" you mean the period June to August, then its better to avoid Kerala altogether.
Whoever said money can't buy happiness didn't know where to shop !
