| LP Thorn Tree I'd just like to say that this is a lot more civilised than the Lonely Planet Thorn Tree Indian Subcontinent branch where a lot of people spend half the time slagging other people off and generally being nasty! Congratulations everyone....keep it nice.  |

| I agree. LP's TT also has too many newbies who are keen on *asking* questions but provide few answers. And this forum is more focused. The only criticism I have about this board is the risk of censorship: 'no sexually oriented' and [cannot] 'violate any laws'. Why are sexual subjects taboo? Do travellers never have sexual issues while on the road? And if we had to follow every law of every country on the planet we would be severely restricted. 'Any law'? The laws of the USA or Canada? Of Equitorial Guinea or the Netherlands? Of EVERY country? My guess is that the organizer is 'covering his ass' because this is owned by a corporation, which is just covering *it's* ass against the state harassing it for expressing unpopular but factual information. |

| Which law ? Reply to erosadventure: Mike is American, so naturally his presumption that American laws are universal laws is understandable. May he attain enlightenment. By reading 'The Hindu' daily for instance, where he will find a view of the world (and Irak) quite different from the CNN vision. Have a nice stay in India, Mike. |
