hi i was going through your post . i m involved with indian theater for the past 15 yrs. i m involved with a group called PACT . we do lots of experimental theater . we did two productions this year . The glass menagery by tennesse williams &invalid imaginery by mollier. our director is a visiting faculty to university in ohio . we practise lot of augusto boal methods too.

I went to undergrad in Ohio... at which university is your director teaching?

Does your theatre have a website? I did a search for "PACT India" but got a lot of NY Times articles about trade agreements and such...

I would love to learn some more information -- where you are located, how large the company is, etc.

we are group of 15 people for now . no we dont have a website.we are located in delhi. we are a new group though individualy we have sum 15 years experince in theater. have u chkd on NSD delhi . its india's best theater institute . if u want informaion on anything pls feel free to ask

Believe it or not, I know Gauri... she was a grad student when I was an undergrad at Miami... that was a few years ago and I wonder if she remembers.

(Wow... a billion Indians and 300 million Americans and within a day I've found a connection to someone I used to sit and chat with. That's freaky!)

I have my reasons to say Carnatic is fading...at least in Andhra Pradesh. After Balamurali and Nedunuri who has experimented with music? None. In fact not many enthusuasts left. And then there are the Malladi Brothers who I hope will carry on the work...but it is just them.

Maybe carnatic music's new home is UK and USA!
