Looking for friends in Chicago area

Hello:
I'm looking for female (or married couples) to make friendships with in the Chicago area who have travelled to India or Pakistan (or just love India). I have just returned from a visit to India but my American friends although curious, are not too interested in my detailed adventures

I feel a need to make new friends who "understand" my experiences.

Feeling a bit trapped with the busy life everyone lives here (for what reason?) and am still in "slow mode". Are there others like me around here? I feel reverse culture shock.

Can't afford to visit India regularly so next best thing is to make friends with similar interests so we can share our photos and stories. If interested please send me an email. I am happily married with a man from Pakistan. I am Indian (yes very unusual mix). Hope to hear from you soon,

Sorry to hear that you are feeling so isolated, SS. It's hard to find people who are truly interested in those India visits we've made, and I sure hope you find some folks with whom you can meet and talk about it.
