Locating places or directions in India

Recently while searching for 'Jakir Hussain College in Delhi' I came across a good map site that should be useful to travlellers here. I find it good to locate places of interest withing cities also.

Very good interactive maps.
Mapsofindia.com has a vast variety of maps to choose from. A very user-friendly site.
Wikimapia.org has detailed maps on the lines of Google Earth that can be customized easily.

Why would one rely on fallible maps when one can rely on the infallible Indian giving to directions..

haha. I too rely on the fellow Delhities for directions at the last turn - though its faster if I could reach that last turn without much asking and wrong turns

Normally I rely on the Eicher maps, but found this site quite detailed with a quite good search engine, so just mentioned this to the community. I found it far superior to wikimapi or Mapsofindia for locating places of interest in Delhi at least.

The best maps of Goa can be seen at

These include separate maps of the beaches, with the beach huts, hotels, eating places, taxi points, cyber-cafes all marked out.
Most useful for tourists going to Goa.
