Liquor Permit
Just testing a scanner, if anyone wants to see what a Liquor Permit looks like, click here to see one side, and here for the reverse side.
The half government stamp next to the word 'remarks', is not a mistake in scanning, the other half of the government stamp was torn off for the officials copy.
This Liquor Permit was obtained in Mumbai in an office to the east of Churchgate station, (reply to this thread for more info).
A Liquor Permit is required if you want to drink alcohol in 'dry' states such as Gujarat, Manipur and Mizoram, though I seem to remember them being needed in Andhra Pradesh not so long ago.
In 'dry' states, alcohol is only available in 'up-market' hotels at 'tourist' prices.
This particular Liquor Permit was never used.
