Talking Life after the US Election

I am 32 yr. old American male, whose shame for my country is only quelled when I read these traveller threads and know so many others seek to make this world a peaceful, smaller place. It has been too long... 2001 since my last major trip "outside." (SE Asia). And soon - 11/14 - I start my adventure in Hyderabad.

This is my first trip to India, so thanks for all the useful info.

Anyone know of any jewels (off the beaten track) in/near Hyderabad?

I will be blogging to my site: www.syncity.us.

Trippy trails fellow wanderers, see ya on the road...

What do you expect?

According to a recent poll, 20 percent of all Americans believe the sun revolves around the earth and another 17 percent believe the earth revolves around the sun once a day. Those folks are George W. Bush's base.

letmeout,

Welcome to Indiamike -- the best India travel forum.. Your attitude about our president is the "politically correct" one to have when you travel outside the US..

The people of other countries are used to being government by idiots, rogues, juntas, scoundrels, and morons. There's really nothing odd, dare I say it, about GWB's re-election. We just pretend and usually believe that we are more virtuous here in the good old U. S. of A. But now we know we are no better than anyone else . . .

Hi and wellcome to the best Indiaforum/forumwhatsoever on the Internet.
Yeah lets hope Litle Bush stays quiet and fix his Immage. Its allmost hard to belive there wont be any wars etc to come with him on the "top".

I wonder if he himself have seen the Nice Nine Eleven movie, and if so, did it make him shamefull or is he to red neck to see the message.

ikuru,

In the Faranheit 911 DVD, the special features section had a reporter ask Mrs Bush is she and her husband had seent he movie, she responded to the question with "what do you think?" I gues that explains that nether of them have seen the movie..

As Merchant Said:
"The people of other countries are used to being government by idiots, rogues, juntas, scoundrels, and morons. There's really nothing odd, dare I say it, about GWB's re-election."

Well said.

There are still a suprising number of humans on the planet that have the ability to detest another country's government or leader, and still show civility, kindness, hospitality and genuine interest in that country's citizens. Thank the gods.

i saw a brilliant list of the candidate each state voted for compared to the average IQ in a magazine the other day. almost without exception the states with higher IQs voted for kerry, and lower IQs for bush. made me chuckle
