Kerala - Weather in August

Can anyone tell me how much it really rains in Kerala in August? - I have read very inconsistent advice. My sister is considering as honeymoon destination and has been offered a really good deal on accommodation but obviously when on honeymoon you don't want it ruined by days and days of rain.

Thanking you all,

Emma

The Basic reason for Rain fall is because of the geographic position of that State. Its on Western Coastal region. Basically the life move on in Kerala with Back Water lakes and reserve water lakes which are stressed out for 700-1000km.

Been there last season on RE 535 Lightening. .

Has she been to the tropics in the rainy season before? She will be fresh out of England, no chance to acclimatise, and will feel very hot and sticky 24 hours a day - not the ideal for a honeymoon, as the last thing you want then is to touch flesh!

OK, she can stay in an expensive place with A/C, but then you just feel horrible when you go outside. Much better to go to somewhere that is warm and dry, not humid.

Tim in Ireland.

PS on no account come here hahaha
