Just Back From India

Wow, just got back from India a few days ago (after a 5 day stopover in Hong Kong)..It was an awesome experience..We travelled with a group of 15 down bumpy roads in an old bus from Delhi to Mandawa (10 hours), then to Jaipur, to Ranthabore (did not see a tiger, but it was a blast), to Karauli (what an awesome experience), then to Agra..Took the overnight train to Varanasi (again totally awesome, the Ganges boat ride was incredible)and then the overnight train back to Delhi. I can't believe we have been there and back. For months we prepared..Had so many questions and were so concerned..But other than long days and extemely bumby roads, and a horrible sinus infection we survived!! The experience of seeing and doing what we did, I will never forget..The food was great, the accomodations were a little iffy at times (especially the bathrooms), but we did get the chance to stay in a few Heritage Hotels in Mandawa and Karauli..

However, I have been quite ill since returning home..Don't know if I picked something up in India or HKG, but I think I am on the road to recovery...

I still can't get over all of the animals walking around..especially in Karauli..All i can say is you just don't see this in other countries (at least the one's I have been to!)

It's quite an experience. One that I'll enjoy again in, oh, about 3 days... !
