just an observation
I've been gradually going through our photos and have noticed 2 things that seem common across all the places we went.
1. Wherever anyone is doing anything, there are at least two other people standing around watching them do it. http://www.indiamike.com/photopost/s...4/limit/recent 2. There seem to be a lot of shots in which groups of men are sitting around doing nothing but chai and chat... (not that we can IMers can talk I guess! http://www.indiamike.com/photopost/s...0/ppuser/18940 Not criticising! Just observing - its part of the charm, (unless you happen to be the women who seem to pick up the slack!) ![]() |

In the fist pic, they can be customers waiting for fresh 'produce', shops owner or helpers..
And I do agree that you can see group of men sitting and doing nothing much...its more common in winter months up north and people like to take in the sun... Secondly the kind of activity you see in pubs in your country, we see at our chaiwallah... |

That's true... those pics were just an example... I kind of like it, its communal, no-one seems to do anything alone in India! Not including you in the category of men who sit around and do nothing Shashank!!!

your observations ring true. But then, this is the norm in most countries...
