Is wine healthier than grape juice?

Does it never occur to you to use google or wikipedia to answer these questions. There is a vast amount of information easily available in the public domain to those with the wit to pose a potentially rhetorical question.

My theory is that the low incidence of heart disease among the French has nothing to do with drinking wine. It's the result of speaking a language that lacks the letter "k". "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power." - Abraham Lincoln

I always thought french sounded strange ;)
this gets funnier and funnier . .A peg 30ml of hard liquor i presume is a standard unit as 40% that would make it 12ml of alchohol! wine at around 8% we would require around 130ml or so . . . say a glass.
personally i like to drink from the bottle
what if . . . maybe . . . say . . . suppose!

Only in Breton!
Also some words borrowed from other languages to French, such as "kermesse" or "kaki".
In Breton language, "k" is common. See this delicious cake:

which would go quite well with a glass of....cider?

The letter "k" - not the sound.

that's the most stupid bullsh... I've ever heard, sorry
For the baby it's definitely not harmless.Regarding your parents: I can't imagine that grape juice is good for diabetics, as it contains lots of sugar.
A glass of dry red wine should be ok, but the health benefit shouldn't be overestimated. If they don't feel like to drink it, there are other (and maybe better) ways for heart protection. pomegranate juice contains polyphenols, too. After just reading a "bhang-thread", it's all about culture...

dzi,
The Irish language has no K either! So for example Kilkenny is the anglicised version of Cill Chainnigh.
So, there's a correlation between lacking a K and being able to take a drink you say ...
