Is there in Italy Mike??

Or a Yugoslav Mike? We are planning a European jaunt next year and I wondered of anyone knew of websites similar to this with European content

Indiamike was so wonderful in helping me plan our trip that I am longing to meet his Italian cousin!

Don't be cross at me for asking this non-indian question - all travel is good travel!

Thanks.

We started one of our trips from Vienna. We like Austrian airlines & Vienna is located very centrally. We travelled Vienna - Venice - Rome - Naples - Vico Eqance(Good sea side base for Pompei, Visuvias & Herculeum) - Florence - Genoa - Dijjon - Paris.
Dont miss the following:
Sistine Chappel in Vatican city. Turn up early in the morning.
Uffizi Gallery in Florence. There will be a serpentine que, tickets can be purchased on internet in advance so u will avoid standing in the que.
Pompei. Take the circum visuvia railway & get down at the station named Pompei scavi. The ruins are amazing.
Mt. Visuvias. Take a bus or cab towards the peak. U will have to climb the rest on foot. The view from the top of Naples & the bay is stunning, well worth the climb.
Be very careful with your stuff in Naples & Florence. While walking keep ur shoulder bag, camera etc. on the side opposite to the street to foil attempts by motorcycle bandits. Be very careful at the railway stations.
If u have any further querry pls feel free to ask & can PM me too.
Good luck.

If u are planing to visit Croatia in summer book accomodation in advance. Many places will ask u to book minimum 3 days. From Italy u can easily move in to Croatia. Check out the ferries. In Croatia u have the option to travel by ferries or by land. There is an overnight train from Zagreb to Split. From Split u have to either travel by ferry or by road. Dubvronic(spelling may be wrong!) is a wonderful city, do spend atleast 2 days. There are beautiful islands to freak out. My favourite is HVAR. The wines produced in the north west parts are great. U can hike along the wine trails, beautiful villages & scenery. Since gaining popularity as a tourist destination lately things have become costly. You will be approached by ladies offering home stayes in most places. Before striking a deal u must check the place, its location etc.
I also suggest that u visit Slovenia too if u r going to Croatia. The caves in Slovenia are by themseves simply unbelievable.
Good luck.

Well, if you plan to visit Croatia, a "Yugoslavia-Mike" is not really indicated...

However, you can find potentially useful links about Croatia on my homepage (signature below).
