I think that most people know how to separate their opinion about a country's government from their reaction to that country's citizens. I disapprove of China's government, but when I meet Chinese citizens, I enjoy getting to know them, and don't even think of lecturing them about their country's misdeeds. Most Indians are pretty much the same toward Americans--they will want to get to know you as a person, not as a symbol or a representative of Bush.
