| Yes, that's absolutely correct, too much of hype being created, without being much in it. Earlier the programme was gud, but now just a time pass. I hate Anu Malik's Shayari. Atleast good platform for new talent.

| Agree that its a good platform for new talent. I too am for Amit Sana, as he has an excellent voice. Unfortunately, he lacks a good personality and that's where Abhijeet scores over him. We will know on March 10 !

| I disagree with Shimla. Abhijeet has a much better voice than Amit. Amit has a voice in the line of Mohammad Rafi, and we have had so many of his likes - Anwar, Shabbeer Kumar, Mohammad Aziz, etc. and Abhijeet has a new voice to offer us. Rahul had a voice similar to Sonu Nigam, had he won we would have had 2 Sonus. Originality won over copy-cats, i would say. And in the last few episodes Amit sung horribly bad. I voted for Abhijeet from day 1, for his voice and am happy that my votes didnt go waste. |

| I couldn't get into Indian Idol... but I loved India's Child Genius. The parents in the audience always looked so proud. Plus I got to see if I was brighter than the 12 year olds (hey, they have the advantage of this stuff being fresh in their minds - some of us are 30-something).

| Just a question regarding Indian Idol singing...are they allowed to use effects to massage the voice? The thing that strikes me listening to Indian singers is that reverb is used a lot and the best singer (in terms of pure voice quality) may not be the one who wins. |

| "Voice Modulation" can be interpreted many ways. When I refer to "reverb" that is the method where the voice is sent to an amplifier, and the amplifier will insert an echo into the voice. The end result is that previous notes are sustained and gradually fade away while new ones are being sung. Way back when I was a kid, I tore apart a Fender Twin amp and the reverb system was a mechanical spring that vibrated in a magnetic field which produced a current in a wire which was then amplifed and mixed with the new currents coming from the guitar. Very simple structure and quite pleasing to the ear. |
