Question indian food in greece

hi,

while this is not a question about india, it is a question about indian food.

my boyfriend and i like to try indian food wherever we go. we will be traveling to greece in may and wonder if anyone has tried an indian restaurant there, and if so would you recommend it ? we will be in athens for a few days, then we would like to ferry out to an island, or two. (still unsure which ones to see... if you have an opionion on the islands that would be nice to read also )

thanks for any and all opinions.

~ jane

not sure where you'll get a decent indian in greece. but in terms of travelling crete is amazing, and lindos in rhodes is lovely. also, santorini, if you have time def. stay there for a bit its the most beautiful.

i say just enjoy the greek salads and the lovely fresh foods and makesure you ask a local where they would eat rather than eating at the touristy places which are overpriced and often not that great anyway.

ONE THING FOR SURE, you'll love it!

good point ! i did have indian food, in india, when i was there in january. i've also had it in new zealand, switzerland and here in the us.

i wish my trip was for india, but because of my boyfriends schedule greece is where we'll be. india may be possible in 2006. that's where i'm sure we'll take our honey moon.

thank you for your wonderful advice. while we'd like to eat indian once, we'll definately be eating the local cuisine. i always try to look for a place that's packed, or at least ask the hotel people. that's usually been a great way to go in finding local favorite restaurants.

have a nice day !
