All newcomers to this site are welcome to join us.

We will meet probably at about 1 pm at Tayyabs in Fieldgate Street, Whitechapel, E1, then after a fantastic meal we shall move onto the Hungerford Arms public house (about 2.30) in Commercial Road (NW of Watney Market).

The Hungerford Arms is cheap and cheerful; the clientele is a mixture of Irish, Bangladeshi's, Indian, Scots, Londoners and a Geordie.

Feel free to meet us in the pub if you don't want to eat.

If you are looking forward to your first trip to India, we can advise on the good and bad of a few places, and offer some experiences.

Between IainC, and myself we have been to the entry points of Mumbai, Delhi, Calcutta, Chennai, Bangalore, and the following states, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat (including Diu), Rajasthan, West Bengal (including Bangladesh), Assam, Meghalaya, UP, HP, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttaranchal and the country of Nepal.

We have experience of budget and mid-range accommodation, Iain has experience of trekking and photography , and I know a little about Indian trains, we also have experience of planning everything ahead type holidays, and just turning up with nothing planned.

Above all, we just want a good afternoon in the company of people who are interested in India.

If you are interested in joining us, send a Private Message to Iain or Myself.
