India Withdrawal

Okay, so mostly everybody here is in India. Well, I'm not and I wish I was there right now. Just got back from a couple of bars in Fort Worth, TX and my friends took me to a strip club as well. Not really into those things. I just want to meet some people who know what life is really about. I met the greatest people in India ( foreigners and Indians included). I just wanna go back into the Himalayas and meditate on the vastness of space and what's left of the natural world. Can anyone relate? Do any of you dig?

Whatever is important to you, make it happen. Accept no excuses, from yourself or anyone else. Live life to the full, and overcome any obstacles that stop you doing what you really dream of.

your friends "took" you to a strip club?

didn't you have a choice?

I remember when I lived outside of Dallas seeing all the strip clubs advertised on billboards and thinking, yup, they call Dallas the buckle of the Bible Belt!! Hallejuah!!

as Tim said, if you want to go back to India, go back. Our lives are determined by our choices.....

I crave India too, it's been like 30 months since my last trip. I love meeting Indian people in a pub (being a bartender and keen drinker) and just talking about where they are from, where abouts they have been, etc. It's great. You could never discover all of India in one life, but maybe 2 can, and they can just tell you about the places you've never been.

Have been missing it a lot. Spent a month there this summer and 3weeks last summer and have been home about 3 months. Missing it is to put it mildly. But tonight I get to go to a Diwali celebration at my friend's house, a Chennai native.

At least you all have been there. How do you explain wanting to be in India since I was a kid and liking Indian things? I don't want to get karmic on anyone but I really feel like I'm going "home" when I visit. I'm so happy I found this site to know there are like-minded people all over...

Yeah there is an India withdrawal thing. I went back to India after 9 years and my folks had to push my ass back on the plane so that I could work .

Besides I met the most awesome lady that I haven't been able to get out of my thoughts for the past 2 months (for the time I have been back). Now enough is enough I am going back in November end and am going to pop the question. Unfortunately I do not feel she's gonna say yes but hay I am going to do it anways .
