Chicken burger in Mcdonalds in Delhi was probably the worst fast food I've ever eaten.

So may we surmise that traveling to some exotic parts of the world, Communism or other wanted/unwanted state policies (never tells you much about the people living under it, does it. Oh, I have countries I refuse to visit because of the way they treat some of their citizens. I guess technically countries like India and the USA might well fit that bill. Though obviously it's never stopped me from visiting either) and McDonald's are our defining factors? Right

(Sam btw, that was a really nice write-up of yours. Thanks.)

Actually you would be surprised. The Economist, the british conservative weekly, has/had a Big Mac Index. It was meant to reflect the PPP (Purchasing Power Parity) Of course the methodology has had problems ever since it started publishing in the '80s. But then, The Economist was never known for good analytical insights.

Take a look at the new, upgraded version. Early results were showing considerable improvement (given that there was room for such clearly). Pity the impoverished grad students that had to do that work..

The toppings the Chinese put on top of pizza at Pizza Hut are gross.....who wants a stew-like pile of unknown stuff on a pizza.

the Chinese, for reasons unknown to me, like KFC.
