Christmas time, it may be advisable to prebook as sometimes they try to 'play the card' telling people that everything is sold out therefore no bargaining etc...
If you are coming to Delhi, let's meet. and can you translate something that sounds like 'Ni-how'... |

so...anyone can suggest a budget guesthouse to stay in Mamallapuram which I can book through internet? or any good places to stay which I can try while I get there?
again(I did ask this question before)...what is the best way to get to Mamallapuram from the Channei airport? I think I will arrive Channei airport around 14:00pm. Ni-How should mean how are you in Chinese which is use for greeting. translate back from word to word Ni=you, How=good/fine hope this help thank you |

An option for getting to Mamallapuram is an airport pick-up.
After a wonderful recommendation from a member I sent some 'cold' e-mails to bas_das@vsnl.net asking for advice on hotels and airport pick-ups. They give me good advice and direct telephone numbers for hotels; they never tried to sell me anything. Their website is http://www.bas-das.com/home.htm They charge Rs950 for an airport pick up to go to Mamallapuram, and Rs350 to go to central Chennai. No deposit is required and they would need to know your arrival flight number. |

chiwai:From airport if you want to go take bus,you have wait for long time, the nereast bus stand where Mamallapuram bus goes..
Now most of the bus take East coast road. My suggestion is ,if you dont want waste any time, opposite Airport you can take electric local train to "Chengalpet" ,from there you get bus to Mamallapuram very offten,it take only 30min from there. Neatest bus station is out side mainraod you have bus stand. Hotels i think you can walk in ..dont be much crowded this time.Try this one for hotel, MAMALLA BHAVAN (ANNEXE) No. 104, East Raja Street, Mamallapuram-603 104 Kancheepuram District,Tamil Nadu, India 04114-242060, 242260, 242360 mamalla@vsnl.com Its is main road only..
