In search of a bangle stand

I've been trying for a while to find a bangle stand like this one. I couldn't find any in Little India (in soCal). Since I live in the U.S. I need a retailer who ships here for a reasonable price (not US$20+!), so I'm looking for a U.S. or Canadian retailer to purchase one from. Anyone know where I can purchase one like the one in the photo online?

I've never seen one of those--or never noticed them. It's a really neat idea.

I love my bangles . I am currently wearing 7 glass ones and 3-- 22K ones. I started out with 12 glass but they dissappear now and then. I really don't mind because one of my best memories is all the broken glass bangles in the dirt in India. I always try to buy alot of glass ones when I'm there but because I don't have the tiny wrists of most of the locals, it's always hard to find them. It always cracks me up (& cracks up my hand) when the merchant squeezes those suckers on! Also, I want some of them to be big enough to get back off again, and that's really hard to find in glass. Can't bring myself to buy the popular plastic ones

Good luck with your search, sorry I can't help.

I love love love bangles! There are many different kinds of bangle trees. I first saw one on someone's dresser in a Bollywood film, and even though I hardly had any bangles, I knew I had to have a tree for the ones I had.

I totally hear you about bangles not fitting. I could NOT find bangles that would fit me anywhere in India, and I mean anywhere, even with the bangle wallahs massaging and massaging and painfully trying to get them on my wrists. It was so disappointing because they're such a classic (and essential!) part of women's attire. Indian women just have far smaller hands and wrists than I do.

I wandered into one of the shops in Little India and the saleswoman asked me if I'd like to try on bangles. I politely declined, explaining that they wouldn't fit me. She said she had some that would fit and asked what colour I liked, then she pulled a set of four from her display and lo and behold - I got them on with hardly any trouble! Either she was lucky or she has a very good eye, LOL.

Needless to say I bought them (overpriced for India but cheap for L.A.), and now I have a couple of sets and need something for them to sit on on my dresser.

You can ALWAYS get a real gold one that will fit (excuse, excuse). I've got to where I now bring a small, plain one back with me and "sell" it back and get a newer more extravagent one!! I'm Bad! I'm possibly being a total idiot because I live in an area of NJ that has a huge Indian population and even fabulous gold stores in "Little India" but as long as I think I'll be able to get back, I can't bring myself to get one locally (& pay alot--though no airfare to consider )

I shall have a look in the Indian market in Vancouver which is probably the largest in North America. These stores are too small to be able to afford a website so you have to go personally. Some of my friends in Orlando needed a particular brand of masala which was not available anywhere else but it was easily available in Vancouver so I purchased it for them.

Oh, yes, you can always get gold ones resized, but I want a beautiful colourful rainbow of glass ones and sparkly rhinetones and crystals on my bangle stand!

You may want to check out a jeweler's supply store (the places that sell tools and supplies to jewelry makers). They usually have bracelet stands of various sizes and materials (although they will be of a more contemprary design than the one in your pic).

Try eBay. A quick search didn't find a bangle stand similar to what you're looking for but maybe there could be something that comes close if you keep checking.

Talking

(OK took me about an hour to figure out how to even represent this here... interface doesn't accept spaces it seems.)

C'mon! Get a fret saw. Whip out the two sides:

...(.)

Now the bottom:
..__________
(..................)
(..................)
(___________)

And the carrier:
..__________

Et voilà! Your very own bangle holder! Drill in whimsical holes, or paint and varnish and stud in any gaudy design. Find niche in market and start mass production. PM me about revenues

I'm partially disabled, machadinha, my hands don't hold things well enough to do woodworking.

I've been checking eBay, I'll keep an eye on things there, too.

My ExGF was always looking for one in London without success. She asked me to look in India, and I didn't find one there either.

Recently I did see them: in Parry's, Chennai.

Have you tried asking the shops that sell the bangles if you can buy one of their display stands?
