So many interesting people on IM... made me wonder if you could choose 4 or 5 places in history and had a time machine... what would you like to see? (and sure... invisibility cloak and babel fish translator comes with the deal.. gotta be able to really look around, right?!)
I'm having a good think about what mine would be... will post back.

Haha.... I like the ice hockey game
Woodstock (1969)
An ancient Olympic Games in Greece
Paris 1870's to see the Impressionists
Ancient Egypt to see Hatshepsut (female pharaoh)
...but those are just the ones that I feel like now

I would remain in the present and would like to go to-
5. New Zealand
4. Switzerland
3. Alaska
2. Chile
1. Everest Base Camp
Would need so much money to do all this, after all I earn in Indian rupees! Even my list keeps changing Jude.

-Delhi 1857
-aboard Shackleton's 'Endurance' in 1914, provided I was one of the survivors.
-Right in the eye of a beyond category five hurricane, provided...
-Uttarakhand or Himachal, 1960's.

You thrill seeker, capt. My choices will probably seem tame by comparison
1. Bactria, village of the Branchidae (expat- Carians/Greeks who ran the Temple of Apollo at Didyma, "relocated" by the Persians) on the day Alexander of Macedon arrived ....
2. Taxila , second half of the 2nd century CE
3. Arikemadu, 2nd century BCE
4. Baruch, anytime between 2nd century BCE and 2nd century CE
5. Srideb( modern Si Thep, Thailand)late 5th century CE
6. Ishnapuram (modern Sambor Prei Kuk, Cambodia) 7 th century CE
Come to think of it, being in any of these places during those times would probably be more brutal than tame ,,, they only seem tame because they are not so well known from the archaeological evidence.
