sorry sorry this thread is about money, sorry be the way.
okay im heading to india in april and my budget is around £300 per month, £ 350 pushing it. well ill be alone for mabey the first month, then im meeting a girlfriend for the next 5 months or so.
is this a possible budget or am i just dreaming? any advice or info on general coest would be grrrreaatt!! thanks evryone!

i have only been to goa so can only speak about there but i found it to be very cheap for both food and accommodation.
if you go there i recommend eating at the beach shacks where the food is fabulous and a meal will cost you about £1.50
i stayed in cavelossim in a basic hotel (very clean) with en-suite for 350 rupees a night for 2 people (when i was there in dec 03 the rupee was 78 =£1) rooms are available from 250 per night per room
dont buy mozzie repellant before you go ..it costs about 50 rupees there
malaria tablets are also very cheap (mefloquine) also known as larium
travel light as there is always someone who will do some washing for you for a few rupees
