How much it really costs for budget travel in India
Nameste' everyone from Rishikesh--
I have been traveling in norther cities for about 3 weeks now and i am in no way a vetran, but before my trip i had trouble finding a post that clearly stated was budget travel. I am suree you can do it for less than this but here is what I have been doing: 75 food 20 drinks 50-100 guesthouse 50 etc. ------ 195-245 Rs per day.... thats about 4-5 dollars. Keeep in mind transportation is cheap, but not that cheap becaus ciites are quite a distance from eeach other. Just my 2 ceents. India is ammmaaazzziiiinnngggg ![]() |

Sounds pretty good to me.
I wasn't particularly trying to live cheeply, but my liviing expenses in Chennai recently were only a bit more than yours except for the AC room at R715. |
