Help needed with company visit(s)
Hello everybody,
I'm helping to organise a studytrip for three weeks to India in April. We will be visiting Mumbai and Delhi and some interesting places between (Ranthambhore, Jaipur and Agra). As part of this trip, we would like to visit about 10-12 companies, to get a better view of the Indian Economy, and to see how business is done in such a different culture than ours (Dutch). Our group will consist of 2 professors and 23 students. We made a list of about 40 companies we were interested in, and send out emails to them, inquiring about a possible company visit, but as of yet, we received no replies . As we would lik to have some companies to present at our promotion days held in a about a month, time is getting in short supply.. That's why I would like to ask if someone here could possibly help us to arrange a visit, or help to get in contact with a company. Both internationally operating and local companies are of interest to us, as each shows another side of Indian business. Most preferably would be either a case, or a lecture (as each tour of a company tends to be quite the same). It would be highly appreciated if anyone could help me out! The best of luck, Sebastiaan |

I Happily bump this thread up to the top.
I know Sebastiaan has put a lot of work into this studytrip, he only asks our help as he has tried other options without success.

Here are few options:
1. Look for Dutch companies operating in India, maybe with manufacturing base there. One I can think of is Philips. 2. Contact the Dutch embassy in India with their Economic section. They will be of help. 3. You can contact indian chamber of commerce at Indian Embassy in Holland. They can get you in touch with the indian companies. 4. You can also contact numerous Indian business associations like Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), ASOCHAM, NASSCOM (for IT related companies), Federation of Indian Industries (FICCI) and their local chapters in cities like Mumbai & Delhi for better reach. You will be able to find about these associations on the internet easily. Let me know if you need any more info or help (If I can be of any). All the best
