Help me, Sleepy but it's daytime....

Hi guys,

I just dont know what to do, I just had to post to IMers out there. Been so addicted to this lovely site, I had no one else to tell this to. First if I tell my husband he will get mad at me that I didnt sleep all night, so I cant tell him and so you are the one's listening to my problem...haha...sowwie

OK, I was studying all night. Now its 7 am. I am dead tired. But I dont want to sleep now because even though I have off today, if I sleep I will not get up till evening. I think then it will mess my sleeping pattern even more. What do you do to stay awake? I drank coffee. I think I might go for a walk. Do you think I should sleep for a few hours..the warm bed is calling me haha..BUT no I shouldnt I know I wont get up in "few hours"....must resist must resist...

Sorry this has nothing to do with India, but does it help that I am Indian? Just kidding...any advice would be greatly appreciated...Thanks and have a energized day or relaxed night..My friends in India you are very lucky..isnt it almost bedtime for you guys? LOL

I am in exactly the same situation every weekend. It would be best if you could get exactly an hour of sleep. But waking up would be difficult. The next best is to shower and get out of the house. I take a bus from Noida to Gurgaon. Its running time is about an hour and half. By the time I reach the destination I am quiet fresh. I usually have some friends there to save me. Though, come to think of it, even if you had nobody at the destination, this might be a good idea to get a cat nap without fear of losing the entire day.
May be click some photos and come back. An hour's sleep does enormous good to your system for the rest of the day.

It's almost 2pm here in Zimbabwe, lunch time is over but hey, it's Friday and the weekend is almost here.

Docgirl2005 - eat when you're hungry, drink when you're thirsty and sleep when you're tired - that's how most desi's do it - jus' go with the flow!!

Have a good rest of your day/night.

No, no no no!

Try Power Sleeping! Set the alarm for 25 minutes Then lie down flat on the bed (no pillow) with your legs relaxed and arms facing palms down. Close your eyes and relax.
After 25 minutes you will wake up feeling refreshed and relaxed (promise!). Even better if you can have a shower afterwards.

Works for me, everytime!

Cool Cat nap

I take cat naps all the time. Sometimes it becomes longer than a cat nap, other times I get up refreshed after a short nap. I guess that depends on each person, how tired they are, etc. etc.

I just wouldn't want to make a habit out of loosing sleep in the long run. By the way my mother was a pioneer in sleep disorders research and she claims that lack of sleep is a huge health risk. So sleep sleep sleep....
