Wink try the search!

Hey! I don't want to sound like some of the crabby old knockers on The Other Board, but the search function here is really excellent. I just entered "inscrutable" and it took me right to the post.

Search

I have to agree with Midnite_Toker's remarks above. The search engine on this forum is very effective. We are always happy to share our limited knowledge of India with others on this board but if you don't receive an answer it's either because the question has been asked a few times before or we just don't know the answer. Type your keywords into the search box and see what comes up. Every post since this forum began is still there!

Okay, lets relax....

Cyberhippe was in the right saying "Inscrutable Americans" doesn't come up. The post doesn't show unless the "s" is left off.

No problem asking for help, I was more than happy to give assistance and also glad that Cyberhippe is here to help another member.

Cheers
Mike

Sorry Cyberhippie

Normally when I am replying in a personal way to a poster I address my reply to the poster, as above. In my previous post I was agreeing with Midnite Toker in a general way about the use of the search engine. There was no criticism directed at you. I did read all the posts and realised that for some reason you had not been able to find the post you were searching for. My post was generally directed to others reading the thread in the hope that certain questions would not keep cropping up ad infinitum as they do on The Other Board. I should have said in my post that that was my motive.

I don't know you, except from reading your posts on this forum and on LP TT and I can assure you that in no way do I think you are intellectually challenged. On the contrary I have always found your posts spirited, humane and very readable.

Well, I'm damn sorry for having started this whole "search" thing.

It's true that the term "Inscrutable Americans" as written doesn't get any result. I just entered the first word, lower case, and didn't think a tilde (~) after Americans would throw the search. ("Inscrutable Americans~")
