Heated Swimming Pools
Hi, how are you all doing? I was in a motorcycle accident which has left me with a painful but temporary back and knee injury. As part of my rehabilitation, I must go swimming daily. I would love to go to India to study Iyengar Yoga (also part of my rehabilitation) but I can only go if there are heated swimming pools that I could have acces to...
So where are the heated swimming pools in India? Calcutta (where I'd love to go)? Delhi? Bombay? How much are they? Thanks a lot Max |

hi max
all of the bigger cities in india have 'luxury' hotels (Taj, Oberoi, etc.) most of these hotels have heated swimming pools that can be used by non-guests at a price. there expensive, i think around Rs200 per swim, but should be totaly safe and not too busy. lonely planet and footprint guide books have these hotels listed, and tell you if their pools are available to non-guests, (at least 2 hotels in calcutta allow this). i am not sure about cheaper options, hopefully, you will get another reply with more info.

all pools in india are warm - the weather is such that they need not be heated. the temperature should be twenty degrees centigrade plus.
