Google Earth Interpretation
It is cool to look at Google Earth pics of India but
I am not able to interpret the lilac colored (reddish-violet) regions. They are not urban since these are found far way from cities eg you can see them occupying large areas in MP interspersed with green (forests). Are they areas of surface rocks?. There is a large block east of Jaipur too. |

Though I'm not a geologist, the patches in strange hues are there may be due to the fact that the snap of that area have been taken in different times (dawn / dusk). Perhaps if you can refer the coordinates (Long/Lat), somebody might help you out.
Try out www.wikimapia.org its great to know the unknown places. Anindya
