Gandhi dynasty

Anyone else interested in them?. I bought a great book by Inder Malhotra which talks about the dynasty in India as well as dynasties in Bangladesh and Pakistan.

From the Indian freinds I talk with on Yahoo it seems the Gandhi dynasty is not well liked. I guess they are kind of the like the royal family here in the UK.

I know it's rare for people to be into politics but if anyone else likes reading about those things then let me know.

The Gandhi Family ..

Well they are the ones who taught the Indian masses to fight the British without getting killed.

Without the brits not around nobody really needs them any longer.

The poor and homeless still have weird fantasies about them tough. Gets converted to a lot of votes !

Mahatma Gandhi is in no way related to the Nehru family. It is the Nehru clan who have run India for 50 odd years with very little progress in terms of the social uplift of the masses. It was Mahatma who "taught the masses to fight the British without getting killed" and not the Nehrus. It was Mahatmas wish that the Congress party fold after independence but the power hungry Nehrus and their stooges never complied with his wishes.

Which Gandhi?

Indira Gandhi (the only male in the Parliament in the 70s), Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi.

Mr. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

If you are talking about that old lean man, well he is the father of our nation. People actually wanted Gandhism and not Gandhi.

The dynasty thing is associated with the Nehru family. If people like or not, they are one of the most influential family in the Indian politics.

Sonia is listed as the 3rd most powerful women in the world by the Forbes mag.
