From November 1st
From November 1st I find that I will be free of all my commitments in other words I’m as free as a bird to do just what I want.
Better state right now that I’m not rich to western standards, but I am comfortable.
My first thoughts where to live in Goa and do a visa run to Thailand every 6 months, now thoughts are changing to roaming around India, month here a month there, big problem because of arthritis I’m not much good at walking long distances or carting heavy cases.
I can of course travel light with a case on wheels, another one of my daft ideas was to buy a tuk tuk I know daft, but if two women can drive one from Thailand to the UK, surely I, with a degree in mechanical engineering and a set of spanners can get by.
Any thoughts, ideas, address of a mental hospital, any input will be appreciated.

tuk tuk on the indian highway long term will not be too comfortable. can you stretch to a small diesel car? will take you sometime to get used to driving anything in india, though. and some of the places you want to go to may not be easily motorable... this is a huge country.
other options are, of course, to travel as light as possible, pay for porters which are easily available... you can avoid carrying heavy cases whether you fly, travel by train or road...
what i would do is start travelling light, get porters, examine my options and see whats working best for me.
and, if you get a good mental hospital, can you enquire if they have two rooms?

Porters are easily available. If you are travelling just once every month, then hiring one to shepherd your belongings to the railway station and another one at the other end will not be a major expense, and will save you lots of hassle.
