From Boiling to Freezing?

It's a 'boring' weather question but I've looked at websites, guides etc. but the charts and tables don't seem to tell me what the day night range of temperature is. I'm going to Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh from early June to the start of July. I understand that daytime tempratures will probably increase from warm to hot (18 - 22 degrees?). Is this correct? But what I really want to know is what is the normal nighttime temp and how low will this get day/night when I am 3,000m up on a trek? From visiting the Andes in winter I assume it may go down to freezing - is this correct? All help appreciated folks.

Nippy yes, freezing no. Summertime night temperatures in Ladakh will rarely go below +7 in Leh (alt 3500).
The temperature right now there is -7 , barely winter. On my last stay ladakhis mentioned that weather has been getting progressively warmer and that the Indus nowadays stays mostly unfrozen during the winter.
There is a nifty temperature map of the Himalayas at :

Happy trails

Yup..not freezing

I was in Ladakh/Zanskar in August last year and temperatures would never be freezing. But nights were indeed quite chilly up in the mountains. The highest altitude I was at was 5100m (at the Shingo La pass) and I'd say the temperature at night was around 5-7 C. Mind you, this was in mid- August- I'm assuming that July would be a bit warmer. No worries with a good fleece jacket and a sleeping bag that can handle down to 0 C ( - 5C extreme). I'm also assuming you have a good tent..

Enjoy your trails!
