Free on World Heritage Day!
Today, an old Kolkata-based friend of Mrs N's, stopped off in Chennai on his way for a holiday in Kerala.
We thought that we would spend the afternoon driving to Mamallapuram and seeing some of the sites there. The only major monument we saw was The Five Rathas --- but imagine our delight to see big signs: Free Entry on World Heritage Day  What we saved very nearly paid the lunch bill! Anyone else get any free monument visits today?

Nick, before reading your post I didn't even know there was a free entry on world heritage day to the monuments.
