A musical war epic about Karan, a spoiled rich kid who is confused about his future, and his girlfriend Romila, who has a clear vision of becoming a TV journalist. The film is all about having a ‘lakshya’, an aim in our lives. When Romila breaks up with Karan because of his lack of direction, he decides to join the army. Years later, he is an officer and she is a TV reporter and the two meet again against the backdrop of the Kargil war. India 2004, 3 hours 5 minutes, cert 12a, director Farhan Akhtar, Hindi with English subtitles This screening will be preceded by a short dance performance created during GFT’s Bollywood dance summer school.
