Favorite Place?
Whats your Favorite place in India? It can be anything from a Banja Tree in Chapora to a German Bakery in Rishekesh...
Whilst I haven't seen much of India -- there's so much to see! -- but having done the golden triangle around Delhi etc and across to Varanasi, I'd have to say the old city of Varanasi was the one place I didn't want to leave. It is a place where you can soak up the atmosphere without any hassle.
My "best historical site" award, however, goes to Fatehpur Sikri. you can just imagine big silk banners strung up over the courtyards etc... would have been just amazing in its day.

This week Quepem, Canaguinem, Kumbhalgargh, Bundi, Tala,
But next week who knows where my flights of Indian fancy might take me!!
I love it all, and am never happier than when I'm sitting anywhere in India just watching life go on around me!!
Even after 13 years the place can still reduce me to tears of nostalgic joy, just a piece of bollwood music, a sitar, a documentary on TV, a book! It brings it all the wonderful times flooding back!!
AAAhhh India!
