This is such a cute thread, I just had to bring it back.

Primarily lived in the US all life, but did go back for college to India for sometime. While in US saw lots of Bollywood stars at shows and all and my uncle helps organize the shows in NY so I met alot backstage. But that wasnt in India..so...

1. Saw Pooja Bhatt and Anil Kapoor in Park Sheraton lobby bar back in 1995. My friend went and got an autograph from them. Anil Kapoor was so gracious and polite to us (was it because we were three attractive college girls? maybe hehe) but Pooja Bhatt was so unnecessarily rude. lol..umm when was your last hit? oooh I know its a low blow..couldnt resist.

2. Saw Arshad Warsi at the expensive French restaurant in Taj Coromadel in Chennai. Was eating alone.
3. Saw South Indian actor, Prakash Raj (who is supposedly Aishwarya Rai's cousin) twice in Taj Banjara in Hyderabad.Stayed on the same floor as us.

4.Saw Mani Ratnam and Suhasini and their son, sat next to them at dinner at Southern Spice in Taj Coromandel Chennai

5. Was on flights with actress Roja Bang to Chennai
6. Was on flight with actress Revathi Chennai to Madurai
7.Was on flight with actor Srikanth Hyderabad to Chennai
8.Was on flight with telugu actor Krishna..sat next to him in Business..hes nice..Hyd to Chennai
9. Saw actor Aravind Swamy in Chola Sheraton bar Chennai
10.Sat next to Rrrajnikanth and wife at CHola's Peshwari..ehh
11.Saw actress Shobhana at a classical dance concert in Chennai..shes amazing.
12.Saw the villain from Devdas..dont know his name..wow that guy is hot! Totally underrated..
13. Saw a film shooting at our college, actors Madhu and Mithun Chakraborthy. took pics with them

14. J Jayalalitha (Chief Minister of TN) came to our college for some inaugural function back in 95..I was one of the hostesses...hehe

15.Saw Srinath...gawd I have zero cricket knowledge...hes part of the cricket team..saw him at Taj Coromandel Spa...sat next to me

16.Saw Cricketer Azharuddin at Taj Krishna in Hyderabad at salon and spa
17. Met and friends with singer SP balasubramaniams son and wife..family friends
18. Met K.S. Vishwanath at a cousins wedding in Chennai
19. Met telugu actor Nagarjuna at Chola Sheratons Sagari restaurant..took pics with him and his kid
20. Saw Bollywood Star Kareena Kapoor in the airport..personally I like her sis better.
21. Saw lots of Tamil actors (Ajith, Babu Ganesh etc) who I dont know the names of..hubby always points them out later on.
All these are over a 5.5 year period..mainly in Madras/Hyd/Bangalore

Fun stuff...sorry its mainly Bollywood/Indian stars....not much else. Would love to see a Hollywood star in India..that would be a trip..Ciao

The only celebrity I have seen in India is Sunjay Dutt...I literally bumped into him and looked up to realise this person towering over me was Sunjay Dutt. He's really tall.

The reference is to actor Milind Gunaji, who plays a negative role in Bhansali's "Devdas".

Met Saint Thyagaraja's great-grand daughter. She lives in abject poverty, seeking donations and handouts to maintain the saint's memorial at her home ...a dilapidated cottage somehwere in Tamil Nadu. Uneducated she is, neverthelsess a great authority over the saint's music repository and a good classical singer herself.

Cricketers : Kapil Dev in one of his numerous Pepsi campaigns, Gundappa Viswanath, Krish Srikkant Syed Kirmani and a young and not-yet-famous-Rahul Dravid all at my own home(!), Bishen Singh Bedi at a local club (who taught me my off-spin) and Maninder Singh.

Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there was one only.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from anguish,
sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints,
so I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
there has only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”
The Lord replied,
“The years when you have seen only one set of footprints,
my child, is when I carried you.”
