Dalits, Like Flies To Feudal Lords - Warning Extremely Graffic!
Dalits, Like Flies To Feudal Lords - Warning Extremely Graffic!
Hello folks,
I found and posted this yesterday but can't seem to locate it in this site anymore.
It's is an absolutely horrific story but I felt it was better to post it then turn a blind eye. Awareness must be raised to stop this kind of madness! It would be a shame if this post was deleted again.

cyberbaba, it was a moderator's decision to move your original thread on this topic to the Off-Topic Forum. The reason you can't find it is because only posters with 50+ posts can access the Off-Topic Forum.

Sorry, should have sent a PM explaining. Have done that now.
Yesterday I was in a rush and didn't notice the OP's postcount.
Perhaps we are being too squeamish, but the UK attitude to death is to hide it away: Indian newspapers/news do not hesitate to show death or the results of violent crime.
Unfortunately, 'this kind of madness' is not uncommon. Whether the violence is anti-Dalit, inter-caste, or the result of village 'justice' it happens, and it is not suppressed by the press here; it is regularly reported in Indian newspapers. Awareness can be had by anyone who cares to read those papers (many have online copies).
I'm all for making people aware that India is not just the positive aspects that we mostly discuss here. However, I'm afraid that world opinion of these events doesn't seem likely, to me, to change life in an Indian village: what would they know or care about news reports in the 'West'?
