I don't want to contribute to a tug of war here over whether the thread should go on or be shut down. Sure, Freud would probably have a field day with Duryodhan's insistence that his mother looks better than most women 30 years her junior. And yes, it certainly says more about his hang ups that he is terrified of marrying a woman who might not look like a trophy wife in 30 years, but I would like to defend his right to have (a definitely) wacky opinion (based on a sample size of one).

From my perspective - as someone who has been happily married eight years to a woman who is from another country, another religion, and a member of an ethnicity that is ostensibly considered the "enemy" by my people - there has been alot of interesting information that has come out of this thread. I also think that those of us who believe in the global family of humankind (to paraphrase Lotus) have clearly been winning this debate.

Thank you Shakti for your comments. I usually don't like to get on this topic because it reflects as much ignorance as light. However, I feel it is as much sexual jealousy as rascism and from what I have seen it crosses gender and nationality..

Look, I'm only 29, and I can just look around me to know that what you say about aging is true, but you don't need to rub it in.

Eventually we all get old and die, but I wouldn't want posts to keep re-appearing in my mailbox reminding me of this fact on a daily basis.

About 10 pages earlier in this thread, you attempted to redeem yourself, but your obsession with women's looks and age is rather shallow and not doing anything for my opinion of you.
