Clothes Shopping Delhi
Clothes Shopping Delhi
hi,
its only 4 weeks until my big trip round india and SEA, i was wondering as i have not prepered any clothes for my trip really if it is easy to get decent stuff like what can be had on the backpacker trials around thailand etc, decent cheap clothing/knock of billa and quicksilver etc,
is there large markets in delhi where stuff like this can be had, as that is where i am flying into
cheers

There are streets and streets full of clothes stalls / shops at the markets, and clothing in Delhi can be very cheap. However, clearly having lost my admittedly slight grip on popular culture, I've absolutely no idea wtf "billa and quicksilver" brands look like, so wouldn't have noticed them, but I did notice plenty of places selling knock offs of brands like North Face that I do know.
Put it this way, if you fly into Delhi with no luggage, you won't have to go naked for the rest of your trip.

Give a visit to Janpath market, behind LIC building at Connaught Place and to Sarojini Nagar market. You'll find plenty of Fakes and some export surplus or quality rejects too !
