| Civil Service Exams 2009 Hello everyone, I am planning to appear for Civil Service Exams 2009,the prelims are to be held in May 2009. I was wondering if there is anyone here who has cleared the exams , or is planning to appear for one... It'll be great if someone could guide with regards to its preparation.. there are a couple of websites dedicated to Civil Service exams but they does not seem to helpful. Also, if someone could help me with the coaching classes in Mumbai which provides tutions or a crash course for the exams. Thanks a lot in advance. ![]()

| Hi, This might not be the best site for your query Not too sure of the classes in Mumbai. I think there was this Govt. run thing wherein you had to give a exam to gain entrance..! ![]() There are some in Pune also. Best bet is Delhi. I was doing this in 2000- 01. What you can do is visit Delhi, meet people, visit the coaching institutes and see what fits your mind. Most of the institutes also have postal correspondence courses. Often, these institutes also offer to organise hostel accommodation or a board-and-lodging arrangement. Certain areas - Mukherjee Nagar esp are quite the favourites amongst students. Lots of classes and like minded people. Rau's Study Circle on Barakhamba road is the most famous one. www.rauias.com Back then, Vajiram and Ravi was the most happening tutorials - http://www.vajiramandravi.com ( i personally vouch for this. Have studied there and they were good). Their office is in Old Rajinder Nagar. There are also a few book shops (i think) in Hauz Khas area which are helpful. I think one of them is Jawahar Book Depot. Other than that just google and find your liking.. i came across the following links for coaching classes:http://www.civilserviceindia.com/ias-coaching/ http://www.threeauthors.com/upsc-exa...ntre-india.asp ALL THE BEST Jay
