OK - it's a frivalous thread, but just wondered if anyone else in the UK has been watching it?! I have to say I found it far more entertaining than the usual Pop Idol & Fame Academy!

I sure would like to see that but over here in Holland we don't receive any Indian channels via the cable!

Mala
We have just had the second show in England. For those who don't know what were talking about, the show is a 'pop idol' type show, the contestants (anyone was allowed to enter) have to prove they can dance and act in a Bollywood movie, the final 6 are taken to Mumbai where they have to work in a market for 2 weeks (I think), the winner gets to act in a Bollywood blockbuster with some of the best actors, actresses and directors (cant remember any of their names). The program is on England's Channel 4, at 21:00 on Tuesdays, 2 more shows left. The first show was fantastic, 100 people trying to get into the last 20, most were useless, but good fun, some were great. A Mother and daughter entered, the mother went first and got through, she told the daughter that she didn't make it, the daughter failed to get through, the mother went storming in to the judges and demanded her daughter go through to the next round, but their decision was final. The mother didn't know weather to tell her daughter about her own success, but eventually did. I went to work the next day, on the way to work I read the 'Asian Age' newspaper and was pleased to see an article about the show, not so pleased when the article told of the final 6 in Mumbai. I then forgot to set the video last night and missed the second of 4 shows.

No problem Mala, I edited mine too.
The article I read said that the final 6 were in Mumbai in January this year, I can't wait to see that episode, should be fun, it will also be interesting to see how the winner gets along in the Movie. |

I like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. I also like that game show, where teams of two try to not only name a song but then have to sing it....
What is that called? There is always one team that knows everything! I dont hav Z-TV anymore though! ![]() |

The last part of Bollywood Star was on TV last night, I thoroughly enjoyed the program, it was a fantastic insight into the personalities of the final 6 contestants.
I think the best person won, though I feel the white girl was also brilliant. Highlight of the show, when the big woman (cant remember her name) had to act directly into the camera and could say whatever she wanted, this was in the third show and she had just found out that her room mate had spread a lie about her and that everybody was turning against her, She looked into the camera and said (I cant remember the exact words) "You can say and do whatever you want, you just make me more determined, NOW I'M GONNA SHOW YOU ALL, I'M GONNA WIN" And she did. She starts filming next month. |

Yeah, I thoroughly enjoyed the series too and was also glad that Rupac won. How Sofia Hayat stayed in the competition as long as she did I don't know - that girl had a serious attitude problem!
