LOL. Quite

(Anyway, a drugs forum this is indeed not, but I don't mind passing on some advice if the occasion calls for it. Individual consultation available upon request )

Oh, that wasn't meant to reassure you, I might as well have not. It's just the way things came to pass, so to speak. I'm sure more than a few members will have had, or likely still have, their own experiences with it.

just like anything else, different substances affect every body (not just everybody) differently. everyone has a different body chemistry. the same reason someone gets - faced on half a glass a wine, while someone else can drink you under the table and be the last man standing. the same reason one person does acid and has a mellow experience and the same hit will make someone want to jump out a window. is acid still around? I don't even know!

I could tell lots of stories of my observations and personal experiences back in the day, but why bother? 'cause momma don't ride that horse no mo'..... as someone said, this isn't a drug forum...just can't remember now who said it...must have been all that acid.....

Heheh, bit of a complication there, indeed.

Hm, yes, it technically can't happen. I know of cases on LSD where it did though, it's not funny, people can end up a basket case for the rest of their lives. Very different substance though.

But the person may feel that way while it lasts. And ingesting the stuff will really have unpredictable results. It happens in A'dam all the time, people being unused to it, and moreover thinking after an hour I ain't noticing anything, huppa, let me get another dose. (It would still be practically impossible for them to get stuck in it though, I think, they'll just feel like hell while they're at it.)

There are persistent rumors about bhang lassi being possibly laced with stuff like datura in India. I have my doubts about it, would seem extra expensive and hard to get to me to no real end to the perpetrator, but who knows. I reckon it may just hit people harder than they might have thought. Let alone if you were unaware this is what you were having in the first place (so please, realize what's "special" about that "special lassi" you just ordered).

I think hallucinations is a load of bollocks ... people experiencing pot induced physiological effects combined with extreme paranoia (esp. first timers) may percieve shifts in shadows, intensification of color and aural enhancement, but it's mostly fear playing with their senses. I once had a happy shake in Cambodia where I insisted it be 'very happy' and spent the entire night in my room convinced the police would break the door down at any moment ...

I have never ever hallucinated from pot/charas/bhaang/weed. I hallucinated on other stuff which I'll not mention on public forum. Yes I do get the usual glimpse of paranoia, but my generic feeling of all forms on cannabis the a mixture of physical + mild mental feelings. I ALWAYS feel happy when I'm on cannabis, but happiness is a very broad term to use. There are so many forms of happiness. My friends say I am a great company when I'm on cannabis.

Hmm, I don't know about this "bhang can't cause hallucinations" business. A few years back, I had some crazy kids come to visit me. Their cousin had tipped them off to a particular brand of munakka (bhang candies, looked like dirt balls, sold in one-rupee packets), so they went hunting for it in Delhi. Found it at some paanwallah's, hanging in strips right beside the paan paraag. They brought back Rs. 50 worth to my house. I didn't partake; alcohol is pretty much all I can handle.

Well, that turned out to be a very fortunate decision on my part. I spent about 48 hours straight keeping these guests from hanging off balconies to talk to birds (who apparently were talking back to them), sitting on benches that didn't exist, walking into open manholes, and what have you. I've heard that there was a crack-down on munakka recently, which, for me at least, is great news; now I can invite the crazy kids back to visit without fearing they'll walk off a rooftop.

(Oddly, they really enjoyed the experience. Scarily, they didn't go through even a third of what they'd purchased! That stuff must have been STRONG.)

A verrrrrry long time ago, now, I saw somebody have a seizure after drinking one of the bhang lassis from the Jaisalmer bhang shop. That was scary. Probably a one-off, though.

No, it's not a one off - serious side effects from these now and then occur and at times partakers have had to seek medical aid. I have known of one person who had the doctor visit and spent three days in bed after drinking a bhang lassi.

Old Monk is a class apart. Definitely amongst my #goodtimes list.

Back to bhaang. I think in the enlightened 23 years I've spent on Earth, I've never, NEVER EVER, come across someone who OD'd or needed medical help, after consumption of cannabis of any form. But thats just me.
